MLA style study from Chapter 3 Handout (from last week) discuss. Quiz over some of MLA format headings on Wed w/ Lit Terms. 

First person/Third person POV essays—examine. Discuss.

Vocabulary—literary terms from background readings in the text. Record definitions with the terms on the handout or flashcards or however you would like to do so. Lit Terms Quiz on Wed 1/30.

Read the poems and analyze them together.

Then short, in-class, handwritten essay questions about the poems.

Exploratory Essay assignment continues.

 

Chapter 15 due. There otta b a quizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Be ready for one.

 

HdO’s and discussion of sources. Use this information to find 2 reliable  sources for the following assignment:

 

Find 2 sources for this part of your essay-writing process.

One in support and one in opposition to your issue as stated in your “working thesis.”

Make a hard copy (with MLA citation information included).

Read and annotate on the hardcopy.

Write a Reading to Believe freewrite.

(Remember paragraphs are tools to use whenever you write. Do not be afraid to use them.)

Then write a summary statement (a sentence).

This is due by next Monday, Feb 4, 2019.

Turn in the hardcopy, the freewrite, and the summary statement on 2/4/19.
